The first thing you’ll notice about this fireplace is how realistic the flames and fire looks. You can choose one of five flame heights and the backlight can really illuminate the whole effect.
You can also adjust the “glow” of the embers to create the perfect atmosphere. Also, this fireplace uses LED lights so the chances of having to replace the bulbs are very slim.
Another nice features of this fireplace is that you don’t have to have the heat on while the flames are going, as the flames can work without the heat if you wish. It’s also possible to have the flames off and just let the logs glow.
The tempered glass in front of the unit will never get hot, so you don’t have to worry children or pets getting to close and possibly burning themselves on the unit.

When we looked at the user reviews, people commented on how much they love the look of this fireplace once it was put together (it comes in three boxes, one customer revealed).
Although the shelves are fixed, they provide a decent amount of space to store pictures, books, and other nick knacks that you’d like to have on display.
Customers have also said that they were satisfied by the amount of heat that the unit generates, even though it isn’t powerful enough to heat up a large room.

The most common complaint customers had was that they weren’t satisfied by how much space the bookshelves had. They also would have liked to have been able to move the shelves to accommodate larger items that they’d like to have displayed.
Other customers revealed that the instructions on how to assemble the unit wasn’t easy to follow and that it too several hours (one customer said it took them 6 hours!) to assemble it before they could enjoy the product.
Also, they mentioned that they were disappointed that the actual material of the product is not real wood like the description indicates. Instead, it is a pressed wood material. This means that you have to be mindful of how tight you tighten screws and fasteners because it could cause the “wood” to split if tightened too much.
Another issue some people had with the product was that it didn’t run silently, and they found the fan’s motor annoying and loud.
Our Recommendation
As far as electric fireplaces go, this unit is going to be a little higher in the budget, as it is priced under $550.
You may think that this is overpriced, especially when there are other electric fireplaces available, but if you think about it, you’re getting three items in one, a fireplace that creates ambiance and warmth, a bookshelf/display, and a television stand.
Any one of those items alone would cost nearly as much, especially if you are hoping for a quality piece of furniture.
We feel that in terms of electric fireplaces, this is going to be the unit that is going to satisfy your desires of having a fireplace, but also prove to be a wonderful addition to your décor.
We agree that it is going to be an investment piece, but with proper care and usage, it can be something that your family will enjoy for years to come.
